Foreign-born Entrepreneurs In U.S. Declining November 6th, 2018 | Author: JC Admin | Filed under: economics, foreign investors, visas | Tags: foreign investors, immigration law, Immigration Policy, visa, visa applications | No Comments » According to a recent survey published by the Kauffman Foundation, foreign-born people account for 24.3 percent of new companies in the U.S., which is impressive, but it is a drop from the 25.3 percent figure that existed six years ago. In Silicon Valley, only 43.9 percent of companies were created by at least one foreign-born founder. That’s a dramatic fall from 52.4 percent six years ago.Given the difficult economic recovery in the U.S., now would seem like a perfect time to increase the number of work visas for foreign individuals, or to simplify the complicated nature of immigration laws. Instead, employment visa laws are becoming more complicated and less friendly to foreigners. If you or your company needs help with an immigration-related matter, please do not hesitate to contact our office at (847)564-0712 for an appointment to speak with a qualified attorney.
